Root NEED HELP no wifi and cpu app says not rooted

I have htc design 4g with sprint, CWM_5.0, xfuziionzz_4.3.2 rom, and just
loaded fastkernel_ics_v5( had v4 previous) I have tried everything i can find by searching and still get error 67 when turning wifi hotspot on. i updated profile and prl, and tried diff wifi apps.

strange thing is I installed a cpu control and a wifi tether app(that is listed as a fix for error 67 on here) and both apps say "no root access phone is not rooted"???? am i missing something

What do I do now??? try new rom? any recomendations would be great!!

What does your superuser app say if you try to update the binary?

You could flash the rom again, format /system, wipe caches. Or flash su through cwm, I think there is a zip in the root thread.

Usually that issue can be fixed by wiping the data for the app in question, but that clearly isn't going to help you.

The native teather app will throw a error if you don't have the plan on sprint or boost. It is a known issue that I need to track down to fix. It isn't the rom your using but due to your carrier. As for root access you should have it, if cwm fixing permissions doesn't work. Then download this http://downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip and flash in cwm. You should then have root.
