Need help on Modern Combat 2

I recently purchased MC2 on my Xperia Play, after i install and verfied the files for the game, it crashes and says the game has closed unexpectedly.
I rebooted my phone, reinstalled it and nothing helped.
I even contacted customer service, but they say they don't have solutions for this right now.

Can anyone help me? I really want to play the game....

go to your storage card and delete the modern combat folder inside the gameloft folder and try downloading it again.

ive got the same problem. deleting files from sd card and reinstalling doesnt work. gamelofts ip isnt blocked so validating shouldnt be a problem either.. i dunno, im frustrated..

Maybe try downloading the apk again, hopefully it will be a newer version than the one you have and it will work.

Here's a solution I saw on the Gameloft forum, it seems to work for me and I've been having the same problem.

Press the icon to start the game. You will get the irritating Force Close message. Then hold down the Home button to bring up the recent apps. Press the Modern Combat 2 icon on the recent apps list, and the game should now start.

This is the only way I've been able to get the game to work. Frankly it sucks that Gameloft are charging for a game which is 'optimised for Xperia Play' and you have to jump through damned hoops and use a workaround just to get the game to start without crashing.

This is the first game I've bought from Gameloft. This hasn't convinced me to part with my money to buy any more, regardless of how good they're supposed to be.
