Need Help Please Im New

hi all ive got my phone last week on contract with vodaphone the phone allready came unlocked so i could put another sim card in the prob im having at the min is when i put my other Virgin Contract Sim card in it there are no 3G settings for it could anybody help please with the Apn setting please for it thanks

Check out ... WAP, GPRS & 3G - How do I? - Virgin Mobile .... Though you can't choose the Desire HD. Maybe the Wildfire settings will be the same?

thanks for that ive got it sorted now but how come the symbols one is "G" and the other is "H" how come it isnt the 3G symbol

Page 18 of the User Guide - on your SD card when you got the phone.

H is HSDPA, which is fast.

It will show 3g when you're not using data or anything. If you're connected to H, you're in a 3g area.

Also, in the settings, if you choose GSM/WCDMA Auto, you'll get 2g/3g connection.

G - E - 3G - H = slow to fast(er)

These tell you what data connection you have available, the arrows give you an indication of activity.

G & E are considered part of 2G data, 3G & H part of 3G data.

The phone will use the fastest available unless you tell it not to.
