Root Need help UNrooting

I think I've tried everything, RUUs aren't working(not updating because of image version or some weird thing going on) and I have some questions about how to go about unrooting...

I initially installed CM7, HTCdev to unlock my bootloader and I flashed the recovery, S is ON so I don't understand how I'm not able to return it to stock with an RUU or something when I'm taking all the needed steps.

My question is about how to properly reset it with an RUU or how to get an OTA update to work with CWM on my recovery(it's stopping it from loading the update...)

ANY help is appreciated as I'm getting frustrated with it.

I have Stock Android(non-rooted) for my EVO 4G, 2.3.3 installed with the newest Clockwork recovery installed.

I want everything back to normal, recovery and everything, just saying.

Quick question before we get started here...

Why are you unrooting?

I think you have to fully achieve S-OFF and then unroot to be completely back to stock

I just don't like it as much as I thought I would.
and my screen is starting to separate and I may have to do something about it.
I have S=ON, do I need it off to go back to stock using an RUU? or?

Well the thing is you have a watermarked bootloader. If you just get a stock rom and recovery they will still know you were rooted.

In order to get rid of the watermark you'll have to go to the guide I linked

UPDATE:

By following that process to remove the watermark, it made it to where I could use an RUU to restore it.
