Root Need help with Droid X and root...

Hey guys,
I am trying to flash droid x for metro pcs. I use the app called z4root from the market to root the phone. After that I use rootexplorer to create opt folder in data and paste the file autostart.sh there. Than put the u2nl file in system/bin. Then I install autostart app from market and restart the phone. As soon as the phone restarts, its hangs up and keeps hanging up on every restart attempt until the autostart app is deleted quickly before phone hangs up. Am I doing something wrong here? Please help

All you need to do is download z4root and put in on the root of your sd card...(not in any folders). then use your file explorer ( i used astro ) to access your sd card . Scroll down untill you see the z4root, click on it then click on open app manager. Then click root phone fromm with in the app. Your process doesnt sound anything like I would want to try.. Geeesh.Good Luck. I didnt even think it was in the market anylonger. Search the forums here for a DL link.
