Help Need help with Email

I have the LG Optimus T from T-Mobile. I tried to set up Email and at first I was successful, but now I no longer receive Email. I set up a Google Acc't and a Gmail Acc't but I don't know where to go from here. It seems I used to get Email in one of two ways, but I don't understand the distinction. One way was to wipe the main screen from top to bottom and the other way was to click on the Gmail icon. I receive my Email at name@charter.net. I can still receive my Email on my laptop, but not on my cell phone. What are the simple steps for a beginner to set this up?

my suggestion to you would be to open the email application (the one that says email) and set up your charter.net account. if you do need assistance with that you may want to contact Tmo tech support. They should be able to help you.... this comming from a Sprint Advance Tech agent with the Optimus T

The "wiping" you are talking about is just the notifications bar. If you get new email it will show up there and when you press/click into it, it takes you to Gmail or the normal "email" depending on the account.

I have found that the built-in mail client sucks. It only shows 25 emails at one time. So lets say i have 23 emails, next time it checks email and I get 5 more...the last/oldest emails I already have get removed. so next time I get my email under 25 it will redownload those emails if they are still on the server.

I have since started to use K9Mail, which is seems to be a better client.
