Help need help with evo 4g.

Good day to everyone here in android forums evo 4g department.

I got myself an evo 4g months ago and now was the only time for me to tinker with it and to use it. I am using this evo as an multimedia device (games, music, photos,) and not as a phone (calls, internet, text) I was choosing between tablets, 4.3 inch and 4.5 inch phones, and I finally settled with the evo since it has nice specs, not to mention cdma versions are much cheaper.

I am encountering a few difficulties and I need some clarifications:

1.have you noticed that there seems to be faint lines on the phone's screen? noticeable when watching videos, movies, most especially when in landscape mode.

2. I came from psp, ds, normal nokia "symbian" phones, and I have noticed that the 4g warms up when being used with simple games, watching videos. Is this normal? I have read here that there are temperature sensing software in the market, but all I could see are battery temperature softwares, and not actually cpu temperature softwares. I tried one and it says that my battery temp is around 29C, but I think it's not accurate since the temperature seems fixed at that point.

-I have turned on airplane mode, and my phone is not yet rooted.

Thanks for taking time to read my post. :D

1. have not noticed this with my evo. ofcourse without my glasses i can't really see my evo :D

2. Not sure about all the issues with 4g its not even offered in my area. However had several people say that it is a battery draining hardware. Which makes me believe that it would probably run warm. As far as temperatures maybe someone who monitors that stuff will get on here and explain what apps are out there. I have myne in an otter box (defender) so never really feel it get warm

rooting is worth it IMO

no problem thats what community does. We read to help :)

thanks, argedion. i would like to know if the warming of the evo is a really big concern? like it might affect and shorten the life of the phone's hardware?

up. any more suggestions? about the warming/heating? is it completely normal that android devices specifically the evo 4g is warmer when compared to other devices like the psp and ds? thanks.
