I have searched both here and xda with no luck.
I holding the up and down volume buttons and releasing the power at the att boot up screen. Is there any other way I can do this?
When you boot up, try holding the up, down and power buttons, but dont release the power when the at&t screen comes on. Wait 3-4 seconds, and then only release the power button. Works for me...

Go into settings/applications/developement and enable usb debugging then connect your phone to a usb cable.
Download the Sideloading machine
There's an abd.exe file that comes with it, go into command prompt and type adb reboot recovery or adb reboot download.
