Root Need help with root question please

I would like to root my phone (HTC DESIRE) and I went to a link provided by an earlier comment, and followed all directions, everything seems to go well until I get to the unrevok package, it reboots the phone, it waits, but when it boots back up I get a message that says "communication with phone unexpectedly interrupted. Try again." But there isn't any option to continue on there, so I re-do the whole shabang with the same ending results.. Any suggestions??

Sonds like you have something running on your PC causing the interuption. Uninstall HTC Sync if you haven't already, and stop any other processes going on, including firewalls and antivirus.
