Root Need Help

IsaacRCCL

Newbie
I have a Root phone using Calkulin's v1.1, 2.2

Still have:
2.15.00.07.28
3.26.651.6

I was clearing out some stuff off my SD card and my SD Card crashed to a point where it erased everything. I lost all my nandroid backups and Apps that were on my SD Card. I just reformatted the card. My phone still boots up normally but i can no longer get into a Recovery screen to flash another ROM. Its just a Splash page.

Any suggestions?

Yikes. That's scary. What did you delete from your SD card?
Sounds like you lost your boot loader (and root). Can you get your Evo into disc drive mode and start from scratch... throw on a new boot loader... re-root etc?

I reformatted the entire SD card, it was corrupt somehow. I'm trying to do Unrevoked 3 but I cant install the drivers from their site. It doesnt recognize the drivers.

I have has a hboot

Supersonic EVT2-2 ENG S-OFF
HBOOT- 076.2000

still

I dont think I lost Root, cause I can still download Rooted apps, and when i apply them, it gives them root access

You still have S-OFF so you are good. I think all you really need to do is flash a custom recovery via terminal, fastboot or adb.

I do it through terminal, here are the instructions:
Copy recovery-RA-evo-v1.8.0.img to the root of your sdcard
start the terminal app or launch adb
su(press enter)
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-evo-v1.8.0.img(press enter)
reboot recovery(press enter)

Here is the link to Amon's thread: [Recovery] [28-August-2010] RA-evo-v1.8.0 - xda-developers

It took me two tries to get it on there (not sure why).
