Hi.
Have taken delivery of my Flytouch pad.
I need to connect to a internet dongle so I can use in the car same as my laptop.
I have a Huawei mobile broadband stick but this does not seem to work.
I have also ordered a further one which will arrive thursday. (Dongle)
The one I have workes fine on laptop.

Any one got any ideas how to set this up.

About to throw pad at the wall.

If this is the dongle you are talking about, I only see support for Windows and Mac OS X listed, not Android or iOS. I do not believe without proper drivers you will get this to work.

If anyone else knows differently, please advise.

Hi.
Yes this is the dongle.
Is there not a dongle that you can use for this pad so you can use in the car.
I have a feeling I may have wasted my money buying this pad and should have stuck to my laptop.

As far as I know there is no tablet that will do this. If you have a phone with a data plan, you could tether the tablet to it.

Hi dart,

There is a more complete list of supported 3G Dongles here

Hey TB, that list doesn't include the 1752C which I think was closer to what the OP was interested in.... I don't know if it would work, it is perhaps the difference between 'reported to work' and 'tested working'.... I wont use the so**ing things.. they cost money to use!!!...

How do you go online when 'out and about' then?

I know they cost money but I managed to acquire a number of 3Gb / 90 day SIMs for seven or eight pounds each so I am sorted for data until Christmas at least!

McDonalds, Starbucks, JD Wetherspoons, hotel lobbys, cyber cafes, ...or wait till I get home :D

McWhat? Oh, you mean Ronald's Evil Empire, no, there aren't that many of those where I live, one of the main reasons for choosing it!

There are, however, quite a few sheep and ponies though, do they offer internet access? They certainly do a lot of roaming...

The trouble with waiting until you get home is the GPS always says chez mois and gives the same directions 'Proceed two hundred yards along road...' and I never end up where I wanted to go.
