Root Need help !!

I'm an htc desire hd user, had rooted my device, and after I've downloaded the update but can't apply it, everytime I try to start it my phone screen shows the android logo with a caution sign, and it doesn't work till I remove the battery.

Please need help with this I'm still on the 2.2 vesrion and would like to update.

Anyone can help

How did you root your phone? Where are you downloading the update from?

So, just to clarify:

You were rooted. You then took an Over-The-Air update? Meaning an update box popped up and said there was an update available to you?

You were rooted. You then took an Over-The-Air update? Meaning an update box popped up and said there was an update available to you?

If that's the case the update won't work as you have a custom recovery image. You need to use an RUU for the version of Android you were on when you rooted and then apply the update.
