Root Need help

Ok i transfered my optimus v account to my htc evo v 4g...i had the htc evo for few days before i went to transfer the account so i had already rooted the htc evo v 4g and changed the hboot and everything so im running 10.1. i think the bestbuy guy was able to transfer the account but we need to confirm it by clicking in the settings (Update Profile, Update PRL, Update Firmware) i wanted to know how to do this cause i tried loading my stock rom while running a different hboot and it just showed a black screen then rebooted to HTC logo....
Can i do this manually while running 10.1 JB?


or how do i update from hboot 1.50 to 1.58 so i can install my backed up stock rom?

I need my phone :( and suggestions can help :D

Make a nandroid first....

You can try flashing harmonia. It should work with your current hboot and has the update section, where you can update Prl and profile.

However you will not be able to upgrade your software, you need to be 100% stock ROM and stock recovery to do that.
 
You can change your hboot by flashing a pg86img.zip for whatever hboot you want, there is a thread around somewhere that has them all. but if your going back to cm10.1 you might as well leave it if you can.....
