Help Need help

So last night my phone shut off and just started buzzing in pulses. Occasionally it would try to reset, sometimes all the way sometimes halfway through or less through the samsung screen but would always revert to shutting off and just buzzing. It's a stock non-rooted phone. I've tried holding down the power button and the power button and the volume down button while re-inserting the phone to no avail. Any ideas? It was just sitting in my pocket when this started happening.

Try a factory reset. Hold down Power, Volume up and the home button. If that doesn't work change volume up to volume down in that sequence.
