Battery life has almost doubled, and the entire phone runs much smoother than with 2.1

I also like the new options in GMail, and the ability to move apps to memory card.

HTC has kept their promise, as has Google :-)
 
GREAT phone if that's what you want to spend. It can be a little slow but it's better than any of the similarly priced competition, but if you are prepared to pay more, get the Desire, although the Wildfire is definately not a bad phone.

The Desire has a terrible battery life. It's superior CPU and display suck heavy on the battery. For real life usage, the Wildfire is a better choice.
 
Harish, go buy one of these phones its awesome. If ou're worried about battery life dont. I make about 30mins of calls per day, send 30-40 text, surf for about half hour and the battery usually lasted 2 days. I got 2.2 and now on its first charge since 2.2 its on its 3rd day still with about 25% battery to go.
 
Yeh because of the optimisation in 2.2 the phone doesn't need to use much resources so the battery will last a while longer :-)
mine on 2.1 last about 2 days i haven't tried my battery on 2.2 because i bought a 1500mah battery and its brand new s have to take it through a charge and discharge stage before i get the optimized performance.
 
The phone is cool, but my only downside on it, is the camera, might just be me but I don't think the camera is that great. I paid
 
I agree with ryanraven, the camera is fantastic. 5mp, autofocus, flash, and with 2.2 you can now shoot landscape or portrait with the controls auto-rotating. I'm loving this phone, can't fault it.
 
I think the camera is pretty decent. Beats the hell out of my last phone anyway! (LG Cookie, haha). My gf got me my Wildfire for christmas, 199 Euro in Ireland on the Meteor network, prepay. I can't say I noticed much of a change with froyo, but I only had the phone a day and a half before I checked if the update was available for me, which it was. Strange that I got no notification that it was available, but at least I was able to get it by checking. I keep seeing people say stuff about rooting not being an option yet on froyo. Is this so? And any idea when it will be possible?
 
Root is not available yet but will be very soon hopefully. no date will be given because we just dont know when someone will finally crack it :-)
 
yeah i hear that the san Francisco on orange is meant to be better because of the CPU and it has a GPU which the willdfire doesn't also the AMOLED touch screen i might change depends on what its like first.
 
Build quality of the San fran isnt too good 5/10 Wildfire 9/10 ( back cover could be better )
