need prominent silent mode indicator

howdy all,
I always have the problem of forgetting to turn my phone ringer back on after I've had it in silent mode. Of course there is a silent mode icon on the notification bar. However, it is small and doesn't get my attention. What would be ideal would be if there were some app that would automatically change my wallpaper to bright red or something when I put the phone on silent mode. Alternatively, I need some kind of prominent visual signal when I'm in silent mode. Anyone have ideas? By the way, I used to use the silent mode on widget. However it seems to behave strangely since jellybean came along so I stopped using it. Thanks.

Take a look at Shush.

Shush allows you to silence your phone by using the volume button all the way down. Then a pop-up will ask you for how long to silence. You can set this by minutes (i.e. 90 minutes) or time of day (i.e. 3:15pm)

Howdy!

I have an app I bought called Ringer Control. It controls the various alerts separately, which is handy, and, you can have it show a fairly good sized Icon in the notification bar, even when you haven't unlocked your phone.

Tasker. Of course you'll have to learn a bit, then you can set it up to do whatever you want. Change the wallpaper color. Place permanent notifications with an eye-catching icon in statusbar. Etc

GREEN - vibrate and sound enabled
YELLOW - vibrate only
