Root Need SBF to backup

lennydude

Android Expert
I am now running a completely stock X.

System is 2.3.340 with version 2.2.1

I would like to root but want a reliable way to return to stock when/if i want to.

What would be the best to root with and more importantly, is there a SBF i can use to go back?

Thanks for all your help :):)

ok your easiest way to return to stock is to make a backup right after you root that way when you want to return to stock all you do is restore that back up and unroot and thats it .as for the sbf there is a .340 system only sbf that should work just fine ,there is also a .320 full sbf you may be able to use if you cant get the .340 to work....here are links for them
DROID X 2.3.340 System SBF Released for 2.3.320 Leak Users - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog
and
Droid X: 2.3.32 Full SBF
and if you cant download from those links then both are in the tbh app found in the market for $2

hmmmmmmmmm there in lies my problem.

All i have seen is the 340 SBF for the 320 leak users. I never installed the 320 leak. Will it still work OK? I do not want to root and end up with a "brick" phone.

Sorry for the stupid questions...........lol

As long as you are on .340 the full .320 should work and I am even pretty sure the system only .340 will work. I was bricked/stuck on Moto M on .320 and it worked for me bringing me up to .340
