Root Need some adb help

ah, okay, i tried that as well, but it always reports the error "signature verification failed" and i get nowhere...

I think i messed something up somewhere so i'm reflashing back to where I started from with odin and starting over

Seems I'm a bit late to helping, but FWIW my gut says your CWM recovery flash (through ODIN) likely didn't stick. This would happen if, after you flashed the recovery in ODIN, you booted into the phone as you normally would WITHOUT first (or already) running/flashing a custom kernel - at that point I believe the stock kernel overwrites CWM with the stock recovery, and I have some vague memory of the stock recovery being sensitive to signature verifications... It doesn't likely matter much now, but do you remember what color font the text was in recovery? Given the links that you were pointed to, it should've been yellow and had a banana character image in the background.

Yeah, the yellow text sounds right. The options for "wipe cache, wipe phone, reboot phone, install from zip" were a blue text. And I wouldn't say you're a bit late... just for this round. i plan on playing around with more flashes yet.

it's all coming together now in my head. I think i get this whole process. I remember being confused about the cwm flash and the epw1 flash i used. i did in fact just do the flash and boot normally.
Hell i was under the impression that I put the cwm on the phone when I downloaded the 'rom manager' from the app store lol (i didn't purchase the premium)

Yeah, all the text should've been yellow (also it should've said it was version 4.0.1.4) - sounds like that was the issue. Glad to hear that it's all coming together for ya!

Well, I figure this way you can get the latest GB leak and stay rooted, etc. :)

I haven't run the latest leak yet FWIW.

So far it's mostly okay. It's a little buggy. I somehow lost the 'market' application and i can't find anyway to get it back. The only applications installed are marked feedback agent and market updater... but not the market itself...

and maybe this is a good reason to finally ditch facebook lol but well, i can't get it to work right... it wont sync and keeps screwing up the sync. Only with fb though.

I'm doing a reset to see if it'll fix the market thing.

-- edit --
'factory data reset' didn't seem to do it. i'll reflash, i guess.

It's peanut butter jelly time for my CWR ;)
Fixed it. Thanks much for pointing that out for me.

Now, last thing on the agenda is to find a reliable backup solution. I'm getting tired of entering in my username and password for my google account and setting up my email accounts every time i wipe and flash.
