Root Need some assistance in getting s-off

Can someone steer me in the right path to getting s-off on my phone? I am currently running a custom ROM. (==
 
I am starting from fresh ... meaning that I have wipe my PC clean.

I am s-on at the moment -- and open for any info to begin this process.
 
Do u have a back up if so u cool but I think u screwed cause u can't mix
Can I ask did u unlock the loader cause u got that far how did u get a custom rom on
 
no that is not an issue you as long as your are unlocked and have a custom recovery all is good.

now getting s-off is different depending on the firmware the phone is currently on. if you are on the most current firmware then the only way to root the phone is by using rumrunner.

there is no other way.

That's what I've been doing for the longest ... I think I just have to get a different phone. I never had this much difficulties rooting any other device.
 
I'm fresh out of trying anything to get s-off, so I went ahead and got me a red HTC one. :)

Nonetheless, I will continue on said path to achieve s-off.

After following the steps (firewater) to get s-off, which I was successful in getting the device (Evo 4g LTE) unlocked using this method.

Is it this phone ...or just .... :)
