Help Need some help with new LG Volt

Hello All,

I just found this informative website and have to say I am getting some great info from everyone. I am having a bit of trouble and am hoping that someone out there can help me out. This has to do with "Swype". When I first got the phone, Swype was working just fine...Now all of a sudden it's stopped working and I can't figure out why. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might be able to do to get it working? It's so much easier for me than the "touch" texting...(think my nails might be too long) :)

Any ideas/suggestions are most welcome and appreciated...

Just what do you mean by it stopped working? You can't swype anymore? I would look through the settings and see if it got turned off. I agree with DrJonJ though. Google Keyboard is better.
 
The Swype on my phone stops working every now and then also.It just won't come up when it's time to type something.
What has kind of worked for me is to change the swypes keyboard theme to (classic), That's making it work a lot better in my case.
 
Overall, it sounds like a memory issue, or rather, lack of memory issue.
Disable other keyboards and/or give Goggle keyboard a go.
 
I always liked the skins for Swype as well as its prediction and performance but only on phones that had more than 1gb ram. On my Xperia Z and Huawei Premia it was fast and responsive. On my Lg volt, optimus and Motions it always ran into problems, several second delays between key responses, force closes. ram is a real bottleneck on this thing especially now that 1gb is pretty much the lowest end e-machines style spec for Android systems.
