Help Need some help..

im normally in the Indulge area of the forum..but for my friend here he wants to install 2.2 on his ascend so he's going through the Metro store for that..but he's wanting to erase the bloatware from his phone AND get 3G and i heard the prl or something needs to be updated??

do i follow this guide for rooting and removing bloatware??http://androidforums.com/ascend-all-things-root/320265-ultimate-ascend-customization-guide.html

can i use that guide above ^^ for rooting and removing bloatware WITH the 2.2 would it cause any problems? or should i be fine and follow the guide as instructed? Hope to hear from you guys on this side of the forum! Thanks!

ok just finshed installing cm6 on my friends android!! is it good just staying with this or would it be better updating to cm7 with the os 2.3?

depending on him and what he like, 2.3 has more customization than 2.2 but overall both are good roms.
