Root Need some help...

Bontenou

Newbie
I can't recall exactly what was done prior, I remember plugging my phone into the car charger. Next thing you know the Screen is BLUE, pauses for 3 seconds and then the phone shuts smooth the hell off. Wont' charge, Won't turn on, won't do anything---Straight Code Black.

Anyone have this problem? Any thoughts or ideas as to what it could be?

uh..it may be bricked, please attempt to connect it via your usb on your computer or a standard wall charger...if no sign of life, like a boot screen or anything then it may have gotten over volted.

I've plugged it into a wall charger, car charger, Computer USB, nothing, no life, or anything. Is there any fix to over volting? Do I wait it out? is anything burned out or ruined in the process? What should my next step be?

is your device under warranty?

Pretty sure it is, I haven't had this phone more then 2 months, rooted it at the same exact time as when the guys on here found the root for it. Gave me absolutely no problems whatsoever until now.

call your carrier when you can and they should get the process under way of replacing your device, thats about all that can be done at this point =[

Did he try pulling battery and reinsert it while plugged in? That sometimes works on some phones.

that sucks, now...not saying you did this or not, but this is a good reason to use only the stock chargers and not any of the aftermarket chargers or the "free car charger!" chargers that you get when buying a case....a lot of the Made in China/Mexico/BFE chargers do not have the correct circuits in 'em to stop charging when the battery is full...

but yeah, if none of the solutions up there is working then you have a DOA phone and you should be able to get it replaced under warranty for no charge, either from Metro or LG...I'm sorry that this happened but you have to expect that 1 or 2 out of how ever many thousand devices they make is going to be defective, even with the testing they do at the factory
