Need some info

Hi im usually hanging around the motorola milestone forums but my mum recently bought a X10 mini pro on the cheap. She asked me for help setting it up.

I just wanted to know is there anything unusual or special things anyone has done or found that helps keep the phone running smoothly?
Also is there any way to get android 2.2 yet?

Unfortunately Sony Ericsson have announced there will be no further Android upgrades for this phone.

The best tip is to turn off services you don't need to conserve battery life, such as GPS. Background data and Sync should also be off if you don't need these.
