Help Need some serious help installing/ updating apps from the market!

I've read about all the tricks and tried them all minus the root way. I've uninstalled and attempted to reinstall, emptied caches from both the market and download manager, moved apps back to phone and attempted to install again. NOTHING WILL WORK! Btw, I received the new market today and in hopes that would take care of my install issues it did not. When I uninstalled the updates to the market (app management), it reverted back to the original market. Really need some help he people. Much appreciated! Droid Incredible problem, multiple units wide???
(Move thread if you need to but having an Incredible I thought I could accomplish more here.)

After uninstalling through manage applications and then going to the market and doing a fresh install some will work while others will not. I'll just have to keep an eye on it and try throughout the next couple of days to see if it gets any better. I think it may have something to do with the new market. This is the first serious problem I've had with this phone. Knew it had to come eventually.
 
Simply update an app that is already on my phone. In the market, click on the specific app to update, it downloads but the install is unsuccessful every time, for the last three days it's been like this.
 
I uninstalled a game under manage applications, then went back to the market, searched for the game and did a fresh install. Worked fine. Attempted it again with a different game and a pop up came up saying Installation error; Unknown reason-18. WTF!

Here's your solution.

1. Connect your phone to your computer
2. Connect it as a disk drive
3. Install/Update what won't update
4. It will work and then you can just disconnect your phone when it's done.
5. Enjoy your apps again

I will try this tomorrow at work and let you know how it goes. Just curious, did you have a similar problem and is this how you fixed it?

One other thing, do you know if once I do it this way it I will be able to update normal from there on out, through the market?

Yes, I did this. I had the issue with Google Skymap, Angry Birds, and some other games. It seems to be pretty random to me. Most apps don't have issues, but I downloaded one today that was unsuccessful. I did that trick, and had the app working.
