Need some Texting info/help

Is there anyway to the phone to notify you more than once that you have a text message? I'd like it to keep beeping till I check it.

Yep. I use Handcent and it's in Settings>notifications, in the Reminders section.

I don't see that option in the stock messaging app though.

Can you or someone tell me step by step? I am not seeing it anywhere that I can set it up to notify more than just once.

I use GoSMS and it has this option too.

From the main screen of GoSMS:

1. Menu
2. Settings
3. Notification Settings
4. Default notification settings
5. Enable Reminders
6. Number of reminders (keep reminding or whatever number you want)

Yes, the app that goes with those instructions is called GoSMS

Yes, Handcent or GoSMS will both do it. Both are free.

I'm giving GoSMS a try now, because it can be moved to SD and Handcent can't.

with the default messenger.
