Ok, so I picked up an LG Optimus F7 (US780) a few months ago. My carrier is C Spire Wireless. I rooted it with the Gandalf exploit in Framaroot. After that, I flashed installed 2nd-init recovery and then flashed Philz touch CWM. I started looking for custom ROMs, and I found SimplicityXL. After flashing it, 3g/4g stopped working. In the OP it said to update the PRL. I Googled and asked around. I found two ways to go about updating the PRL.

1.) Go to System Updates-> Update PRL, Then System Updates-> Update Profile.

My phone does not have this in the settings menu.

2.)Type ##72786# in the dialer

I did this, but it did nothing for me. After I type it, it clears the number and does nothing to help.


~I took a NANDroid backup of my stock ROM, and 3g/4g still works on this when I restore it.

EDIT: I have the AS780, not US780.

Was this a custom ROM for your device and the DEV should have different ways to enable these option to work. Sometimes it may take a reset edit to the BUILD.PROP

No, the ROM wasn't for my variant of the phone and the RIL files were screwed up. I don't know why I keep bumping it lol. But, chev is working on a version for my variant.
