Root Need the K.I.S.S method

Hello,
I'm want to root my EVO4G (running 2.3.5) for no other purpose than to get those lame pre-loaded apps of the phone and out of my way. I've been having a low space notification for the past few days. I'm slightly freaked out about the process but I know it needs to be done. Can anyone direct me to a "simple" step-by-step on how to do this? I would greatly appreciate it!

There are a few different ways of doing it. Basically you unlock your bootloader using HTCDEV and then if you put a custom recovery on there and flash superuser your good to go. You can even flash ROMS that way.

To gain S-OFF (true root) you'll have to follow captn throwbacks guide to downgrade the bootloader.

One suggestion copy and print the instructions It will make it easier to follow step by step.
