Root Need to unroot - can I use the G1 guide?

I need to send my mytouch in for repair (the headphone/charge jack isn't working for headphones anymore)

I need to unroot it before I send it to HTC.

Can I just follow this guide, or do I need to download other things. I still have the recovery backup

There are two files you can download. Make sure you pick the correct one and follow instructions. Pretty simple if you ask me.

Won't simply applying SAPPIMG leave the Amon_Ra recovery still installed?

Yes there is nothing wrong with having a different recovery. I know Tmobile did not care when i screwed up my first mytouch.
