Root Need to unroot evo 4g...

I rooted my EVO 4g just to see if I could do it... Well I succeeded... I didnt like how it looked after I put this Cyangenmod... or whatever that crap was... I rooted my phone by using revolutionary... Well I just want my phone back to stock... so how do I revert back to stock?

That stinks that you don't like the look of aosp. It is one that I suppose has to grow on you especially if you're used to sense.

I would highly recommend that instead of going back to stock, you flash MikG 3.0. It's going to feel stock since it's built on HTC Sense (like the stock rom) but it is running an upgraded version of Sense with TONS of bells and whistles that you will not find on a totally stock rom. Download here

MikG v3.0 [12/17/2011]

My second option would be trying Tommy Tomatoe's classic. It's built on Sense 1.0 (like the stock rom) but it also has a lot of cool stuff thrown in. However, I prefer MikG because it has more tweaks available. Link here:

Also, if you have clockworkmod installed as your recovery, please do yourself a favor and install amon ra 2.3. Link is found in my signature.

Welcome to the forums! :)

I'm glad to hear that you were able to root your phone, but I'm sorry to hear that you don't like the custom ROM you initially chose. The great thing about being rooted is that you can always try a different ROM. There's really no reason to unroot.

I'm not a fan of CM myself; I prefer the look and feel of Sense. A ROM I highly recommend you try before going back to stock is MikG. It's a mix of Sense 2.1 and Sense 3.0, and it runs smoothly, has great tweaks, and a great support forum as well. If you don't like that, we can gladly tell you how to get back to stock.

MikG v3.0 [12/17/2011]

MB posted almost the same thing as I was about to press Submit, but I figured I'd post this anyway, so the suggestion is reinforced ;).

EDIT: And he sneaked another post in there while I was writing that last part. I got, like, doubled ninja'd, lol

So I have to flash this rom right? Well I did a recovery... and superuser disappeared... so I thought i was unrooted but... my update wont install... and yeah I did have clockword mod... but this app said it couldn't detect a rooted device... but I'm sure I didn't unroot properly so my phone should still be rooted I suppose... I'll need some steps to perform this suggestion you guys have provided me with and thanks!!!

First do everything manually in recovery and do not use rom manager. Yes you will need to download MikG3.0. I would highly suggest downloading and flashing superwipe and then flashing the rom after that
