Root Need to unroot!

Sold my Optimus V and the buyer from ebay can't activate it. Whats the easiest way to unroot it?

It's on 2.3.7 with a custom ROM and Recovery.

The activator app is just a link to a portion of the website, as long as you removed the phone from your account, they can either activate it from the website the old fashion way, or flash a froyo rom.

If he can't activate it through the website by entering the MEID DEC, then the phone is still linked to your account. Consult VM on how to unlink a phone from your account, so it can be used on another.
If you HAVE to use the activator app, have the eBay buyer flash a stock froyo rom.

Well he says he can't so I have no idea why. Hence why I want to unroot it. Know how to?

That looks complicated for someone who hasn't done this before. He's new to this.

Would this work?

Were going to backup the ROM on there now, and then bring that phone back to stock. Should take about 20min from start to finish. Just be sure to have a microSD card for this

1. Download the Harmonia ROM (Link is at the bottom) and place in microSD card
2. Go into the recovery (option appears when you try to shut the cellphone off)
3. Select the backup option in the "Backup and Restore" section.
4. Then you wipe cache partition, dalvik cache(advanced section), and data/factory reset.
5. Go to mounts and storage section and format boot, cache, data, and system.
6. Go to install zip from sd card. Navigate to where the Harmonia zip is at and select it.

When you get your phone activated just go back into your recovery and wipe and format the same things. Then go to the backup and restore option. Select restore. Choose the date stamp for the backup you made.

If for whatever reason you don't feel like doing this, feel free to send it back to me, and I will do all of this for you, and even activate it for you.

"Using Virgin Mobile's security patch is now the easiest way to revert to stock.
The official VM670ZV9 update from VM, here. Put this on your sd card, in the root directory (not in a sub folder)."

1) Reboot into recovery. Check your current recovery version. If you have CWMT or MultiBoot you will need to change it, or this WILL brick your phone. Use Flash Image GUI (or the BACKside updater if you're running BACKside - thanks Jerry, you rock!) to flash Bobzhome's recovery.
2) Go to Backup and Restore, choose Backup.
3) Once done, click back to the main menu. Choose apply update from sd.
4) Once that is done, choose reboot system now.
5) Your phone may or may not boot at this point - don't panic! If it doesn't boot, just pull the battery, then boot back into recovery. If it did boot up, reboot into recovery anyway! ;)
6) Choose factory reset/wipe data.
7) Choose apply update from sd (yes, again.)
8) Once done, reboot to system.
9) The phone should boot up to the stock rom. You can verify the radio version now by Menu-Settings-About Phone-Baseband Version. It should end in ZV9. If not, stop. Return to step 3, and repeat.

That would return 100% stock. Easiest, and quickest way to return to 100% stock.
