Help Need to upgrade 2.1 using a mac

I have the original Optimus M 2.1 and wanna upgrade the OS, but I use a MAC and the Lg site is too dumb to recognize that there are many MAC users that own cell phones (DUH).

What can I do? Is there a big difference between 2.1 and 2.2?

2.1? Your optimus m should already be at 2.2, 2.2.1, or 2.2.2. There is no 2.1 OS for this phone. However if u want to upgrade using lgnpst with the Mac you can either use bootcamp or do what I do and use parallel desktop and install the windows xp ISO and install it and then install LG's programs and drivers.

Yeah, we had 2.2 out of the gate last year -- Froyo which was the newest Android at the time. It was the crappy Huawei Ascend that had 2.1.

I think he meant 2.2.1 but instead of typing the extra 2 he just typed out the last 2 numbers. Kinda like how with CWR's people will say 0.5, 2.4,2.8 (3.0.0.5, 3.0.2.4, 3.0.2.8)
