Help Need tutorial for removing camera module

Will appreciate a tutorial from anyone who have successfully removed the camera module from LG P500. I am getting one soon, but will have to remove it as my workplace does not allow camera phone. But it is acceptable if the camera is destroyed or removed.
 
If you remove the camera you remove a big part of the phone.It makes great pictures for a 3MP camera and it would be a shame removing it.Just buy another phone.

You can physically remove the camera apparatus, if you know how to do that. I'd take the device to a tech, perhaps where it was purchased, and tell them you need the camera removed. They may do the job for you. If not, try another.

Failing that, there are a few models of phones out there with no camera versions, some Blackberries for example.
 
but... i want an android phone :D that is why we are in this forum :p
i called up LG here but they are not willing to do it. i hope removing the camera is as easy as opening the inner back cover and pulling out the camera module.
 
Google rejects acces to the Android Market to non-camera phones and i guess thats why manufacturers go with camera phones ( Market tested on removed camera from moto DroidX , Nexus one and Desire Z )

is this true? does it mean if i remove my camera module, i will lose access to android market? can anybody verify this? how about if i just destroy the camera?
 
Lol you are hurting me by just saying things about destroying the cam!!!! I would never do that to a phone, just get another phone already, without camera,

And as the previous poster just said, you will not be recognised in the market, its true
 
just get your android and a crappy phone like nokia 1110 for work :-?? keep your android in the car and swap the sim card...
 
I have some simple ideas:

1) colour in the lens with black sharpie. Demonstrate to them that the camera does not work

2) Ask the IT dept to place a security sticker over it, so the camera is covered up

3) Buy a case/cover that covers up the lens. Make it unremovable with glue
