Ok well I don't have high speed internet and only have broadband internet available. (it has a 5gb data plan) So I use my phone for internet purposes ,but I really need a way to extend my phone's range of wifi getting. My xbox is downstairs with my pc. (I can't move them upstairs.) and they barely get them within wifi range. now when they are close to my phone the work fine ,but I have to keep them downstairs. So is there any good wifi extenders that would work with my phone? Sidenote: If I move my phone downstairs I get no signal at all :D

I know this an odd thread ,but would an average wifi extender work?

Im interested in the answers too. My whole home's internet comes through my phone and plenty of my friends have spare routers lying around so it would be cool if i could "boost" my hotspot through one? :beer:

I originally tried this. It may work for you.

1. Turn on wifi
2. Have your mac connect to it (any pc)
3. Turn on the network sharing option tell your laptop to put out its on wifi coming from your wifi. (i don't know if regular laptops have it ,but macs do.
4. Then have that wifi connect to a wifi extender.

I couldn't get my mac to put out wifi. It might work for you.
