Help Needed - notepad accepting .tab (palm) imports

Lurker
I have been using Palmnotes app on my Galaxy Ace for 2 years, and am trying now a Y300 phone. This installs the PalmNotes App, but I can't find how to import the data file, generated in Palm Desktop, of the form palmnotexyz.tab
The presentation of the notepad is a set of first lines, expanding to a page for each. It is a list of books by author, and is one of my must-have apps.
Does anyone know where to save a tab file for the Palmnotes app (there are 2 folders on the Ace, one is Palm dll for .vcf contacts, and the other Palm Tab, both under SD card (root)/android. It wuld be nice if I knew where the app expects to find these files/folders.

Alternatively, is there another notepad/memopad app that can import a data file of some kind from my pc. The current amount of data is far too large to type in on the phone.

As I have a few days to consider whether to keep this phone, it is very urgent to get a quick response. Thank you, anyone who can help.

Actually, just after posting my plea for help, I sussed it!

My problem had been to get the app to find the .tab data file. I suddenly realised that there is a browse "button" next to the file name, so I was able to direct the app to the folder.

I still would be interested to know if there is another memo/notepad app that can import computer program generated lists, dot tab, or other.

Hope thismay help anyone else with the same problem.
