I've had my captivate for 2 months now and I love it. I'm using it on Straight Talk's BYOP program. I have no need for AT&T and Samsung's Bloatware and would like to remove them.
I understand to do this, I need to root my phone.
I'm a very cautious individual, and after browsing through a few forums, I'm hesitant to root for fear of bricking my phone. I've got too much going on $$ wise to be replacing a broken phone.
How common is bricking? What are the odds of it occuring and how can I avoid it? My phone is a 1012 build.
Thanks in advance
