Root Netarchy kernel

Does this have backlight notifications? Because that's my number one reason for rooting at this point.

How do we flash this? I haven't seen anything about a root guide for this yet.

Got my ns4g running on this kernel (4g and all the sph-d720 features work) he made a version to include the new nexus device and its running flawlessly on it.. 1.4ghz overclock and the smartass govenor

[KERNEL]Netarchy Nexus (07-May-2011) Stable: 1.3.0.2 Testing: 1.3.0.11 for ns + ns4g - xda-developers

i picked teh cfs one due to the better performance gains

Dude, can you extract your radio kernel (D720SPRKD8) and make it into a flashable zip??

We're trying to test it out with custom roms to see if they work.

As of right now, if you install a 2.3.4 custom rom, it will flash the KD1 radio and that's GSM.. So you wont have signal. As long as theres a KD8 file, you can flash it after flashing the rom. In theory, it should work.

afaik most of the custom roms arent truly based one 2.3.4, and as the cdma wimax code was added just yesterday i doubt any of them have it in them. but anyways if you want the kenel i posted the stock files

well tbh, bfs does offer better performance, but it was really only useful on smaller ram devices like the hero and the moment. bfs was known for performance increases at a risk of stablity, as fast as the ns4g is id rather go with cfs :D

Finally rooted and installed this kernel. Are you guys running SetCPU or anything with this to use it? Usually I have a ROM installed and can tweak my settings. What's everyone using?

I use overclock widget. I tried overclocking to 1.2 but found the phone was getting hot and acting funny, so I took it back to 1. I mainly use it to drop the CPU to the minimum when the screen is off. I also like that I can see what the CPU is clocking just by looking at the widget itself.

battery good?
it's serviceable. i tend to charge me battery regardless once it gets closed to 50% lol. i'm anal like that. when i first flashed it i had a full battery & it last about 4 hours with me watching old transformers episodes on youtube & tweeting lol

cool im still on 1.3.0.12...no issues...stock still i would love to change the battery icon to percentages but i dunno how to manually deoxed my cell..

yeah idk how to either. I love the battery % as well. that's how I had my Droid, but on xda they have deoxed files I believe, but that may just be with customed ROMs

I know right I've notice that too. I asked a question about flashing bkuz there were no instructions & received a smart comment from someone. like on the first day of having my S4G I'm supposed to know what's what. I like to be thorough before I mess with my phone.

what's the advantages of deodexing? I've always wanted to know. I'm currently odexed
