Root netflix update and hdmi cable

Anyone know where to find the update for the netflix app?
Also getting the hdmi to play out. Tried a few vids on the phone and from youtube?

Any ideas thanks guys.

Found the new updated app. I can get vids and pics from my gallery to play.
Can't get netflix or YouTube to play though.

Can you turn off the screen with netflix playing?
also seems like when the hdmi app is running its the only screen on the phone i can get. on the tv I get all the phones screens so on the actual phone, Im guessing at what apps im clicking on.

Welcome to the GmanApps has some tutorials on how to make it easier to navigate with realhdmi since the dx's screen is frozen due to hardware limitations.
i usually do the following:
1) start realhdmi with it hooked to the tv
2) unplug the cable
3) start youtube or netflix until the point to where i just need to hit play
4) hook the cable back up and press the play button (easy to find since the dx is frozen with the play button)

i never tried turning off the screen with hdmi on. i usually connect power when i am watching something long enough that i need to worry about the battery draining.

You can set realhdmi to turn hdmi output on when you bump it or tilt it (I find tilt works better). So you go to netflix, get it all set up to the play screen, then hit play and tilt it. Tilt it again when the movie's over, find a new movie, repeat.

I haven't tried it since the hdmi app updated a few days ago. Prior to that, the hdmi asp would stop working every 5 minutes, and you would have to start everything over again.
