Does anyone know when the netflix app to actually watch movies and shows, is supposed to be available for the epic

Either when Netflix actually updates the app to support the EPIC, or when Gingerbread comes out. I think I remember rooted phones on 2.3 ROMs being able to run the Netflix....

Yep, if I want it now you would have to root and flash one of the leaked gingerbread roms and then download and install the updated netflix apk. I do love watching stuff on this screen.

The forum seems to think the 2.3 update should be available in a month or two. I will wait if it isn't that far away.

If we don't get it, then I will root and flash. Would prefer not to though.

Come on now, live a little... The Epic is almost unbrickable... You wait around for enough things in life. The latest and greatest features on your smart phone shouldn't be one of them. Although, I have yet to try out the gingerbread rom's on my phone... I do have one on my droid 1...
