Network connection error when checking for update?

I have my A500 set for automatic checking for updates but with this being the 5th I thought I would check manually.

Each time I checked there was an error saying the "Network connection is poor...please move to better location and try again". I moved right next to my router and checked the connection and it said "excellent" connection. How do I get around this?

Does the network connection normally work okay?

Never mind...stupid me...I didn't clear the proxy after using pdanet tablet.
