Root Network errors with Velocity 1.0

I rooted and installed Velocity yesterday with the help of some great guys on IRC, but I've noticed that I keep getting back network errors. It seems to happen 9/10 times I try to open the market. Is this a common problem? Anyone know a fix?

The specific error is: A network error has occurred. Retry or cancel and return to the previous screen

Actually, no data is working, even though the 3g icon shows activity. So, no facebook content, no internet browser, no market, etc. I have full service and never had this problem before the switch.

This happens sometimes even on stock. When this happens to me I toggle my data(turn it off then on.) I do this from SwitchPro, which costs money, but I am sure there is a way to do it for free.

Thanks Grzla, but I can't even download SwitchPro because I can't get to the market. I wonder if going into airplane mode will be enough to reset the data connection.

To disable data networks "for free", simply hit menu from your home screen, tap settings->wireless and networks->then uncheck "data enabled" to disable 3g.
