Network locked

I've debranded my Orange Deisre i started to run the updates on the phone and then my phone locked and its saying this: SIM network unlock pin?

How do i get ahold of this 8 pin mumber?

Yes. Find a reputable website - or ring Orange - and get an unlock code. Should cost around USD20 or UKP15.

Had this on mine too. Used Mobile unlocked (UK site) and got the code in about 10 mins. Initially had to enter it to get past the 'Network Locked' message, after that I got a 'Sim service provider PIN required' (or similar, not sure of exact words). Entered the same code again and all worked fine. Fully de-branded 2.2 user and happy about it.

There is an ruu rom you can use that has been used successfully before that stops the phone from being network locked, but still remains as locked to your network.

Will this work on a phone that requires a "sim network unlock pin" by downloading the rom and running it with my goldcard inserted.
