Network Sim Unlock

Hey Guys,

This summer I bought an unlocked Rogers X10a. Last month the charger stopped working so i shipped it in to Sony Ericsson to get fixed. They ended up sending me a replacement phone but of course its locked to Rogers. I tried buying the unlock code from Unlocking.com and they werent able to find it. I also tried someone from Ebay and they weren't able to either. I contacted Sony Ericsson and they say I have to contact Rogers. Am I just getting the run around? What else can I do?

Not sure why you are doing all this work.

Just root the phone and do what you want with it.

Here is what I did about 2.5 weeks ago - http://androidforums.com/x10-all-th...-x10-setting-up-boot-loader-custom-theme.html

Now my phone looks kind of like this - http://androidforums.com/sony-ericsson-xperia-x10/214034-theme-x10-res-mods.html

And it is more than twice as fast as it was before.

But it's going to take some reading and rooting and updating.

Not sure what exactly you are trying to do...but to simply speed up the phone and hide all the rogers shit...that's what I did.

This will not unlock the phone to other networks
 
 
I'm giving mobileincanada.com a try, hopefully they're able to. I actually contacted Rogers and the mentioned the site as well. They weren't able to help me since i didn't have an account with them.. and they would've charged me $50 for it. *Crossing my fingers*
 
Just wanted to let you guys know. Thanks to sony ericsson giving me wrong information, i hard locked my phone by using all 5 attempts to do a sim unlock on my phone. Fortunately i was able to use www.htccode.com to unlock it via usb cord and software. Costs $50 but at least i can use my phone again :)
