Help Network Unavailable

Dankees

I have recently been seeing a message, "Network Unavailable" even though my phone shows that it has service. I have been running JuiceDefender Ultimate and it has been doing it's job, but recently, I have been getting this weird message, even though my phone shows that I have service.

Why is this happening? Can someone please help me?

i sometimes have the same issue. my phone just loses all service, the bars disappear and go gray. weird thing is that it just does this out of the blue, kinda just loses all service. it started to happen more often lately.

also i notice the phone goes into airplane mode on its own, and than i cant quit airplane mode. it keeps on saying its in airplane mode. only way i can fix it is to restart my phone. its annoying as it happens a couple times a day lately...

any ideas?

This happens to me a lot when I go in and out of service areas. I ride the subway in Toronto and the train goes above ground and back down again...I find this phone is terrible at dealing with the loss of signal, and about 50% of the time needs a reboot to connect to the network again when I'm back at ground level.

Also, the airplane mode issue happens for me when I initiate it...I can put it in Airplane mode to try to restart the radio, but then I can't turn the radio back on without a reboot.

yeah, the radio switching in the Nexus isn't very good in 4.0.2; FYI, they swap (from 4G to 3G to 1x or whatever) a lot quicker in 4.0.4, so it's obviously a known issue to Google.
