Network Unlocking

Hi People,

I`m off to Canada for around 8 weeks with work soon and was wondering if anyone has has there fone network unlocked?

There's a couple of people on ebay that say if I provide my IMEI and S/N they can do it.

Has anyone had theres unlocked? will it invalidate the warrenty? Is it a scam?

I've never had an Xperia Play unlocked, but I have gone the eBay route to unlock a number of other phones. Blackberries and a few RAZRs, to be specific. I've always had success and made it a point to buy only from those who have 1K+ positive ratings.

Once purchased, I would receive the unlock code within the hour and never had an issue with the phone accepting it.
