I came back.
I was really pumped about the Xoom. Incredibly pumped. I've tried in the past to get on this whole Android thing (I love Google's services, especially their calendar), but being on AT&T, there wasn't a whole lot of good things going for it. Not to mention after learning some of the downsides of Android (crappy marketplace, the price of "freedom", and general unpolish), I decided that this wasn't the phone OS for me. However, I did stick around to have keep learning about Android, and talk to some of the geeky crowd.
That was until the Apple hate machine turned on. The whole lounge is dedicated to ignorant remarks about how Apple does this and doesn't do that, and how Android is faaaaaar superior to Android. Fair enough, this is an Android forum.
But then it gets nasty.
Now the personal insults begin, saying anyone who owns an Apple product is merely an iSheep, and that anyone who doesn't use Android (needs not withstanding) is ******ed. Hate topics come up every day, bringing no positive insights to the table, no points of discussion, just "BAAH I HATE APPLE, EVERYONE MUST HATE APPLE!". The constant bickering, the constant elitist, and just general no-goodery, has made this place a haven of people who just seem bitter and angry for no apparent reason. I don't know if you've ever seen an Apple forum, but most of these guys actually talk about THEIR products, not how much it's better than someone else's.
Then the Xoom came out and was a dud. Android hasn't changed, but it's users will try and shove it down your throat it has.
