Never going to see flash player?

That article doesn't even know what it is talking about. That has nothing to do with flash on phones. It has to do with desktops. I downloaded it yesterday and it is awesome. But you can see in the quoted engadget passage that it says it works on different graphics cards lol.

Where did you download it from?

So is this out for the Droid yet or not?

If not, when is it "supposed" to be released? Cause first quarter is technically over.

YOUR first quarter, may not be THEIR first quarter.. my work doesn't end 4th quarter until Feb 1.. just sayin. :)

I am 100% fine with never seeing Flash.. really, who cares. would not impact my experience 1 single bit. that is, unless I am sad about not seeing lame Flash banners.. which I am not.

more importantly, how about lets seeing the ability ti store apps on the SD card. 10x more valuable.

Of course Adobe is running behind on getting flash 10.1 out for mobile devices. Hell, they're several months like, 6, behind on releasing flash 10.1 for PC's.

Isn't there a flash lite included on some of the HTC phones now? If so how do you get that on the droid, if it will play web videos.

I read somewhere that Flash with come in an OTA update..? Is this true? If so, that's going to be slightly annoying for rooted users (such as me) since I'll have to install a new ROM, I guess. I hope they just put it on the market or something for an easy download.

Also, I want to stream Netflix on my phone almost as bad as I have flash. Can't iPhone users already do this? Has anyone heard about a possibility of Netflix streaming on Android? I know that'll have to be a whole app in itself because it uses Silverlight on your PC browsers.

Flash was never ever ever promised to come in the OTA update. In fact it was very explicitly stated that it absolutely will not. What was said and this was from Adobe, was that android vers 2.1 was a requirement for running flash.

So is it a correct to say that FW 2.1 was already coded to support flash, once adobe updates their software to be work correctly on Android?

1. How are they behind?!? They have ALWAYS stated "First 1/2 of 2010". As far as I know, we are still in the first 1/2 of 2010.

2. Some devs are working on a rom now that will have HTC SenseUI along with flash lite.
