Never have 1x again

Free app in Google play called ( 3g data only) this app somehow forces your phone to always have 3g data without taking away your ability to receive texts and calls. I vouch for it. Just try it and say goodbye to 1x data speed. I live in the city with ok reception so I can't promise it will help country people. But I used to get 1x alot even where I knew I always had good service. Now I have 3 g all the time
 
All the app is doing is turning off a setting... Go to your settings then to wireless and networks... Then mobile networks... And then network modes. Check evdo only and you will only connect to 3g. Warning if you loose 3g the phone normally connects to 1x. If you change this setting you won't connect to 1x and will loose data connectivity if you loose 3g coverage.

Thats not the case, I know about what you're talking about but that is not what it does. Try it then holler back.
 
Easy way to prove that's not what it does is going into wireless networks and seeing that cdma/or evdo is still selected. Also into about phone and look at status and it will also confirm that cdma and evdo are both active. Evdo provides 3g data and without cdma active you couldnt make or receive calls
 
Good, when I suggest an app its because I found it to be helpful and sharing it saves people the time of maybe 1 day finding it too. I put a lot of effort into finding apps I believe are beneficial and sharing is caring. For instance rom toolbox is another awesome app. But just like anything else make a backup b4 using. That's where I got my mortal combat kratos boot animation
 
I prefer rom toolbox to rom manager personaly but i know what you mean. you may also like fresh signal i used it in a spot with 1x and went to 3 bars 3g im not sure how it works all the time but it did come in handy and if you ever get the wifi/3g glitch itll give your 3g back without a reboot
At least on the unitology rom witch i think is the only rom i will ever mess with due to its size smoothness and lack of issues

Lol yeah correction thats what I meant. Rom manager could really only reboot the warp that was about it.

Which roms have you tried?? I have stuck with shinjitsu oc.

Right. I looked at it earlier. Then windows 7. And I realized that they are all really similar. Shinjitsu and unitology were on bo8 with xperia launcher. Only different colors and themes. Unitology looked really good but cuz I liked the darkness. But I always change themes anyway. So it really all comes down to what the developer did to mod/tweak the phone. And what they removed and what apps they put back

Has anyone else used or have any knowledge about the App {3g data only} it seems like something i would be interested in for those times when i am not in the City and out at my Cottage at the Lake i always have piss poor 3g out there.I thank you for suggesting the App mjstrese I am defiantly going to look into it.I just want to direct you to the proper area for you interest in ROMS you will get much more feedback Here and it will keep the Forum cleaner as well as on topic.Thanks again.
 
Just downloaded and followed instructions will check back later wother results.... Thnks for the tip..looking pretty good so far
 
Update: it sucks...for some reason I missed like 20 calls and the same amount of texts....I guess it has to do with turning off cmda.... Gets my thumbs down
 
Update: I know it hasn't been a full 24hrs but I haven't had a problem with this app at all. I noticed when I was in my elevator (thats where my service usually dies at) a little satellite looking icon popped up, I guess that was the app doing its thing and I was still connected to my 3G, I can test it out further at work Monday because that's where the 1X happens a lot! lol.

Wonder how this will run alongside JuiceDefender if there will be conflicts ? think i am just going to install it myself and test it with jd this week when i have time and i am up the lake.
 
Ok, so testing out this app at my neighbors apartment where more 1X occurs (more than it should) I was surprised it didn't but then

Off Topic: This app plus JD totally killed my battery after 3hrs of use, Yesterday I only had 3G data only app and a few other apps running and my battery lasted me from 11am to 10:30 pm when it died completely.
