never recieve the first text of a conversation

If someone text me without me texting me them first I never recieve the text. I won't recieve any text unless I text the person first. This has started happening more and more recently and becoming a big problem. Almost to the point where I might go to a tour. Any help is appreciated.

try updating your profile and your PRL.

Also, make sure "automatically retrieve messages" is checked in the stock messaging app.

Even if I'm using handsent instead of the stock app. And I already updated both.

yes, even if you're using Handcent.

Handcent still pulls the messages through the stock app (and that is why the stock app should not be removed)

Have it checked in both. Also just figured out I don't recieve mms.

for MMS, make sure wifi is off and mobile is on(pain in the ass, I know)

Also, if you're rooted and running most (if not all) of the AOSP 1.6+ ROM's, MMS doesn't work

no wifi, mobile is on and not rooted or using any roms.

Have your turned your phone off/on and see if that fixes it? A lot of times this will fix most issues.

Yeah. I've done that and the classic battery pull from bb.

I randomly miss text from people too but it doesn't happen often, at least that I know of. I just updated to 60660 prl and will see if that fixes it. I really think it is handcent that is causing it though
