New 4G LTE Markets

yeah i think so... i shouldnt hold my breath for thursday tho...lol

Afraid not.
Verizon put out a series of press releases yesterday morning.. after I discovered that I magically had LTE. :D
2 Areas in SC were getting 'launched' Thursday (Columbia and Hilton Head)
A few in NC (Wilmington IIRC?)
There were other areas in other parts of the country as well.
No Greenville/Spartanburg tho.

You guys can try this. Its about as close your going to get to a map as of right now.

Put your zip in, and don't forget to check mark the 4G data Coverage.

I guess I'm thinking something similar. I just read, thanks to this forum, that Albany, NY is getting 4g by the end of the year and I was getting excited. But now that I think about it, I live in Saratoga, which is about 30 miles north of Albany and I think I was just assuming it meant the surrounding areas too. Kinda worried it's not gonna happen for me.

+1 I just ordered my Tbolt yesterday, it will be here tomorrow. I live in south glens falls so I feel your pain but if I don't get 4g at my house, Albany is only like 30 mins away.

Harrisburg, PA had a small taste for early adopters. I guess they tested because 4G was up for 30 minutes at most. I did speed tests as soon as noticed the switch.

I know it's lacking, but here's the export from speedtest:

Test Date: May 2, 2011 10:31:46 am
Connection Type: Lte
Server: Washington, DC
Download: 4.80 Mbps
Upload: 0.33 Mbps
Ping: 89 ms

External IP: 166.248.32.13
Internal IP: 10.175.50.168
Latitude: 38.90970
Longitude: -77.02310

I have two other tests. Both were varied. One pulled down a mere 3.53Mbps and uploaded a poor .20Mbps. While the other test a minute prior pulled down 8.33Mbps and uploaded a better but still low .52Mbps.

I can pull the limited images that SpeedTests provides but until I root my TBolt and get a screenshot software, I can't show the full print out disclosing the information straight from the app.

This was all terribly unimpressive compared to Baltimore's speed I pulled. A speed test in baltimore, mid-day on a weekend pulled a maximum of 25.47Mbps and uploaded 31.32Mbps. Which is insane, I wonder about the validity myself, but that's what came back. At one point that same weekend I uploaded 41Mbps. Truly ridiculous......

I have 4G switched off, so I didn't notice it go on (Mechanicsburg here).

I live about 25 minutes north of Philly (Doylestown area) anf have not seen any 4G. I literally have to be within a few miles of the city limits to get 4G. I hope it eventually makes it out to the burbs. I have gotten some spotty 4G along the I-95 corridor north of the city too.
