Help New and Troubled Android User

Hey everyone,

Just got a new Samsung Galaxy S before Christmas and have been enjoying it. However, I had to take my first one back earlier in the week because it was stuck on vibrating once then tree times. The guys at the store had no ideas what to do with it and they gave me a replacement. Now it appears the same thing is happening to the new one. Figured I should check into the android forums since I couldn't find any answers through web searches. I know very little about the jargon used with smart phones so hopefully I can learn some stuff from here as I go.

When your device vibrates once and then three times in quick succession, it's usually when an app crashes and 'force closes.'

Why this would occur twice with two brand new handsets is beyond me :-/

I can only suggest performing a factory reset and keeping an eye on apps that you download.

I managed to hard reset the phone and it has not given me any issues so far since. I have been very careful as you said about what I have installed. Both times it was during an app installation but not the same app. Perhaps I was pushing things too fast as it was installing? At any rate, so far so good since the hard reset.
